I'm not going to beat around the bush. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the single best PC title I have ever played. It's larger than the biggest RPG, has more story than the heftiest adventure game, and has almost as many mini-games as Nintendo's Mario Party. Additionally, it has a production value that's second to none, boasts a faithfulness to '90s source material with an eerie accuracy, and provides more hours of entertainment than all the previous Grand Theft Autos combined. In short, it's a terrific unending masterpiece of a game -- and one that will never fall victim to an over-exaggeration of its lofty status. It's the defining piece of software for Sony's successful sophomore system, and it's almost impossible to imagine a PlayStation 2 library without it.
Now I realize that with a statement like that, I leave a lot of expectations on the table. Immediate questions from longtime GTA players (and haters) will no doubt surface regarding what kind of problems San Andreas must have. Does the framerate still stutter? Is pop-in and draw distance still an issue? Are there any collision quandaries or other graphics-related bugs? Are the sound effects still tame by other action game standards? Does the AI ever have stupid moments or not perform the way you'd want it to? And is it true that there's absolutely no form of online play whatsoever? To be honest, the answer to all those questions is a definite yes. But an even better question to ask (and one that has a lot more direct impact) is, "Do any of the issues explored above really detract from the overall experience?" In a word: No.
But how is that possible? Isn't that a significant number of concerns for one game to handle? Sure it may sound like the case when clumped together like that, but in practice it's almost completely unnoticeable. For starters, the frequencies at which the graphical hitches mentioned above appear in comparison to when they don't is so lopsided, that I'm left unaffected. Additionally, there's literally so much to experience in the single player game that the lack of online play isn't missed in the least, while the minor sound effect kinks and other presentational issues get completely dwarfed by everything else that the game manages to do right.

Pang is an extremely addictive game. As you go on, the levels get harder, and the speed increases. Developed in 1989, Pang has the drop on many games developed around that time. There is something of a charm in the old arcade games - they are small, and simple, however they have fun graphics and music and exciting gameplay. Although these games rarely pass the 1MB mark, it is incredible how more fun we can gain when compared to some of these new 1GB+ games.
Over the years, there have been many versions made of Pang. The "Original" version is available on MAME, which is the arcade version.

Wanadoo, Pam Development, and Magic Pockets have today released the first information on the previously unannounced Pro Beach Soccer, which is currently in development for the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Game Boy Advance. Featuring stadiums in Rio, Marseilles, Venice Beach, and Bangkok, Pro Beach Soccer has been designed in conjunction with the Beach Soccer Federation and, as such, will feature 32 teams of real-life players such as Eric Cantona, Julio Salinas, and Daniele Massaro, as well as all the official rules of the sport.
Played on soft sand, beach soccer is a fast-paced five-a-side sport played over three periods of 12 minutes each with an average of around 11 goals scored in every match. Adding to the authenticity of the game will be pitch-side DJs who not only comment on the current match but also do their best to keep the crowds entertained with hot tunes.
Wanadoo is promising that Pro Beach Soccer will be easy to pick up and play and that the game will feature numerous different gameplay modes, including an exhibition mode, a survival mode, a tour mode, and a custom competition editor. The game will allow up to four players to compete simultaneously, although the GBA version of the game will only feature link-cable support for two players.
All four versions of Pro Beach Soccer are scheduled for release in Europe on May 27. No North American release for the game has been confirmed at this time, but we'll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
